Chronic Wounds
If wounds do not heal within six to eight weeks, they are referred to as chronic wounds. Various causes, such as poor circulation, diabetes mellitus, infections, or prolonged and excessive pressure (e.g., pressure ulcers), can delay healing and should be medically evaluated.
